Regents News

Within the months of December, 2004 and January, 2005 we moved the Regents ministry to Bakersfield, California, from the Los Angeles, Orange County area. This move was made with a strong leading of the Holy Spirit.

There were several important reasons for making this move, after so many years in lower Southern California.

One very important reason for our move to Bakersfield is the pastors and the Christian Communities desire to come together for the cause of Christ. Many marvelous things have happened since moving to Bakersfield.

Another pressing reason for our move was to obtain more handicap friendly homes for the Brisendine family. Thirdly the traffic conditions in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, and surrounding areas were making it more and even more difficult to get in and out of the area.

Many of you have ask about Billy’s parents, praise God they are still with us. However, their failing health is making it difficult for them to travel with the Regents as much as they have for years. Our move to Bakersfield has been a positive move for them as well. In October last year we moved them into a beautiful home in Bakersfield. We wanted them to be able to keep as much independence as possible. Their new house is more handicap friendly and close to Billy and Flora’s. When the time comes for a live-in caregiver the house will be large enough to accommodate this as well.
